Online Cake Delivery in Karachi: How It Works

Ordering a cake online in Karachi is simple. You choose the cake on the website, fill in your address and the time you need it, press Send order, and we call you to confirm the time and payment. Then the cake comes to your door. Hadies Crust delivers to DHA, Clifton, Keamari, Saddar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and nearby areas for Rs. 200, and delivery is free on orders of Rs. 3,000 or more.

How to order, step by step

1. Choose what you want. Browse the menu and pick your cake size and flavour, or add cookies, cupcakes, donuts, pastries and brownies.
2. Add it to the cart. Type the name or message for the top on the cake's page before you add it. A short message on the cake is free.
3. Fill in the details. At checkout, give your name, mobile number, area and delivery address, and pick the date you need it. Use the notes box for the time you need the cake by.
4. Press Send order. The order comes to our inbox, and we call you on your mobile number to confirm the total, the payment and the delivery time. Nothing is left to guesswork.
5. Receive the cake. Keep your phone nearby around the delivery time so the rider can reach you.

Regular cakes from the menu are the quickest to arrange. Custom and themed cakes need 2 to 3 days' notice, so plan those earlier.

Areas we deliver to

We are based at Bahria Complex 1 on M.T. Khan Road, so the areas we cover are the ones we can reach with the cake still in good shape.

We deliver across DHA (Defence) and Clifton, and to Keamari and Saddar, which are close to us. We also deliver to Gulshan-e-Iqbal and to nearby parts of Karachi around these areas.

Delivery charges and free delivery

The charges are flat and easy to remember.

Since our cakes are Rs. 1,500 per pound, any cake of 2 pounds or more is delivered free. A single 1 pound cake comes to Rs. 1,700 with delivery.

If you are just under the line, it is often worth adding something small. A 1 pound cake with five fudge brownies at Rs. 320 each comes to Rs. 3,100, and the delivery charge drops off. You get brownies for tomorrow's chai and pay nothing for the rider.

What to tell the baker and the rider

Karachi addresses are not always easy. House numbers repeat, lanes have no signs, and map pins often land on the wrong street. A cake cannot sit on a bike for twenty extra minutes in the heat while the rider circles the block, so a clear address matters more than you would think.

Give these with your order, in the address and notes boxes at checkout:

• Full address with house or flat number, street, phase or block, and area.
• A landmark that a stranger can find. A mosque, a well known shop, a school, a petrol pump.
• Gate instructions. Which gate of the apartment complex is open to riders, and whether the guard needs a name or a call to let someone in.
• Floor and lift. Tell us the floor, and whether the lift works during load-shedding. A rider carrying a 4 pound cake up six flights needs to know in advance.
• A phone number that will be answered. If the cake is a surprise, give the number of the person who will receive it, not the birthday girl.
• A second number in case the first is busy.
• A map link, if you have one, pasted into the notes box along with the written address. The link helps, but the landmark is what gets the rider to the right gate.

For offices, add the company name, the floor, and the name of the person at reception who will collect the order.

Receiving the cake safely

The last two minutes of a delivery are when most cake accidents happen. A few habits make a difference.

• Clear a space first. Make room on a fridge shelf or a cool table before the rider arrives, not while you are holding the box.
• Carry the box flat, with both hands under the base. Do not hold it by the sides or the ribbon, and do not let children carry it.
• Check it at the door. Open the lid and look at the cake before the rider leaves. If anything is wrong, call us straight away on 021-34586148 and email a photo to info@hadiescrust.store.
• Refrigerate fresh cream cakes at once. Strawberry Shortcake and Black Forest are fresh cream cakes and must stay in the fridge until serving.
• Keep it away from the kitchen. A cake left beside the stove while the biryani cooks will soften quickly in Karachi humidity.

Picking up from Bahria Complex 1

Pickup is free, and if you are nearby it is often the easiest option. If you work near M.T. Khan Road or pass through on your way home, you can collect the cake yourself and control the journey.

Choose pickup at checkout, and we confirm the pickup time when we call you, so the cake is boxed and ready. We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 10pm and Sunday 10am to 8pm.

In the car, put the box on the floor of the passenger side, not on the seat. Seats slope, and a sloping cake slides. Keep the AC on and drive straight home. Do not leave the cake in a parked car, even for ten minutes.

If you live far from our delivery areas

We do not deliver very far across the city. A long ride across Karachi in traffic is hard on a cake, and we would sooner say no than send you something that arrives damaged.

If you are in a far area, call us first, before placing an order. Tell us your area and the date, and we will let you know honestly whether we can manage it. Pickup is also open to everyone. You can collect the cake yourself, or send a family member or driver to pick it up from Bahria Complex 1.
