A small bakery that bakes to order
Hadies Crust started in a home kitchen in Karachi, with cakes made for family birthdays. The orders grew. The way we bake did not.
How it began
It began the way most good bakeries in this city begin: someone in the family made the cake for every birthday, and then the neighbours started asking. Then the neighbours' cousins. At some point it stopped being a favour and became a bakery.
We called it Hadies Crust. Today we work from Bahria Complex 1, M.T. Khan Road, and we bake cakes, cookies, cupcakes, donuts, pastries and brownies for homes and offices around us.
How we work
We bake to order. Your cake is made for your date. It is not taken out of a display fridge. That is why we ask for some notice, and 2 to 3 days for custom designs.
One honest price. Every regular cake is Rs. 1,500 a pound, whatever the flavour. If a custom design will cost more, we tell you the full price before we start.
We deliver close to home. Karachi heat and long bike rides are hard on a cake. So we deliver to DHA, Clifton, Keamari, Saddar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and we would rather say no to a far address than send a cake that arrives tired.
You talk to a person. We call you to confirm every order. If something needs changing, a name, a time, a colour, you just say so.
What we bake
Five cakes we know very well, from Chocolate Fudge to Red Velvet. Large cookies, hand-decorated donuts, cupcakes, breakfast pastries and a proper fudge brownie. All ingredients are halal.
